Blogging Tip: Save Your Post as a Draft Right after You Enter Your Title
Two good reasons:
- In most blogging software, the first title you pick is the one that becomes your post's permalink URL. So pack your keywords into your first-draft title, keep them near the front of the phrase (in case the title truncates), and Save the Draft (or Save as Unpublished). You can always change the title later.
- Saving your titles in plain-speak, with keywords prominently displayed, means saving the post as a "To Do" list item... one that reminds you "use these keywords in my post!
