Blogging Tip: Save Your Post as a Draft Right after You Enter Your Title

Two good reasons:

  1. In most blogging software, the first title you pick is the one that becomes your post's permalink URL.  So pack your keywords into your first-draft title, keep them near the front of the phrase (in case the title truncates), and Save the Draft (or Save as Unpublished).  You can always change the title later.
  2. Saving your titles in plain-speak, with keywords prominently displayed, means saving the post as a "To Do" list item... one that reminds you "use these keywords in my post!
